The Good: My desktop is working again, turns out one of the memory sticks was bad.
The Bad: the wireless card is still not working, meaning I cannot get online, and i need a new card.

ended up buying new memory as well as a uninteruptible power supply unit, so if the power goes again, nothing will be fried

do you want a wireless NIC card or just a USB adapter?

I've got some from work that i could send you, but i think i only have NIC's atm. I cannot for the life of me remember what kinda slots they are for or anything though, and they aren't uber or anything but might save you a few bucks.

    yeah the PCI one is what i was talking about. I'll check my truck sometime this weekend and see what i've got. I get these shits for free from work, i've got about 50 PCI ones, its the USB ("dongles") adapter i'm always short on.

All Your Base Are Belong To Me

Since I moved to this new state, I had to replace my GPU, a monitor, a mouse, my power supply and headset. All came at bad times and kept me away longer that I'd have liked.
