So the local gamestop is going to be hiring soon. I picked up and filled out an application, but have not yet turned it in as I was having some reservations. I know people tell stories of bad experiences there, on both sides of the counter. Now, my local store has always been excellent, and I have never had any problems. However, I have no idea as to what may go on between employees and supervisors, etc...
SO!
anyone with an opinion, tell me what you think. Should I go for it?

    i've never had problems with gamestop. i say go for it and see how it is. if you don't like it... quit. or just stop showing up ;) but that doesn't look as good cuz that'll get you fired.

    I agree with kthulhu. My local gamestop hasn't had any problems that I know of, and as kthulhu said, you can always just quit if it doesn't work out for some reason.

    I don't know. It's always hit and miss with retail. Even if your store is a bit crap to customers, you learn to deal with that. Sometimes it will be great. But something that would drive me mad with gamestop, is in fact the "would you like to- OH MY GOD... *BLAM*" issue. I can deal with being asked, but being forced to ask by management when I find it repulsive myself would drive me slowly to homecide.

    Thats why I quit my McJob a while ago. NO I WILL NOT FORCE 70 YEAR OLDS WHO OBVIOUSLY DO NOT NEED A SUPER SUPER LARGE XXL TO UPSIZE. TAKE YOUR MCNAME BADGE AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR MCASS.

    Tried A Real Guitar After Guitar Hero

    One opened up by me about 8 months ago... I applied when they needed a full staff but I was dumb and put very limited availability so I wasn't hired... However I just submitted another application for the summer in case they need someone else, I put all available hours they're open for lol.
