OK, so Contact....

Graphics:
Gave them an 10/10 because they are fun, quirky, and to me represent the ideal type of graphics for the DS. They are Sprite based, but because the art style works so well, you may think they are 3-D. The view is shown from a 3/4 perspective, like the handheld Zelda games. he bottom Screen shows the are you control, with the pretty, hand drawn graphics and action. The top screen shows your allies, The Profesor and his dog/cat thing Mochi.

Sound:
10/10, Music is fun, active, and matches the scenes well.

Controls:
8/10, Not bad, but can be somewhat confusing at first. You have to manually switch from "explore" mode, where you move quickly, but cannot attack, to "attack" mode, where you crouch and move slower, but are able to attach and use special abilities. Just takes some getting used to.

Story:
10/10, Awesome, fun story. Without giving to much away, it has aliens, an average joe, humorous shattering of the 4th wall, and the ability to kick ass as a chef.

Fun:
9/10, Overall, very good. Once you get used to swapping between attack and explore modes on the fly, combat is intuitive and fun, but is in real time, which may put off hard core turn based RPG fans. Different outfits grant different abilities, allowing for diverse gameplay.(chef FTW!)

Replay:
6/10, Since I am not actually DONE with the game, I feel bad giving this a score at all, but this appears to be a standard RPG. Little replay value, except that it is a fun game. There might be a New Game + mode, but I'm not sure.

Overall: I really like this game. It is quirky and fun, and has a cool sci-fi story. I highly recommend it for fans of RPGs, as long as you're cool with real-time combat.
